| Double sized ground ledger (306.5 W x 244 cm L) raised 13-15 cm off ground. Curbing is grey granite (15 cm border) and is all intact. Along center of W curbing is 'J. B. COLVIN' incised at angle facing outside curbing top. Set into ground at E end of ledger top is a white marble headstone. Headstone is extremely loose in ground! The eastern face has inscription letters are deep and show little wear. Top W face of stone has 2 hands in handshake with lily of the valley flowers above hands and 'Farewell' below. Hands and flowers are in relief. Carving shows very little wear and it is still possible to see detail of man's cuff and woman's cuff. The NW corner near top has small piece missing and small crack. There are no other breaks or cracks. Stone has light covering of black mold and lichen and has 5 degree tilt toward the east. Bottom right corner of stone below ground level has 'J Mortimer', the stonemason's initials. | |||
