South Face 2nd Block

| Double-sized ground ledger (229 x 254) raised 15 cm off
ground. Curbing is white marble (5.2 cm) and is broken along western (2 pieces) section,
southern section and western section. Corner posts are white marble (21 x 15.5 cm) and top
is shaped like hump. The S section of curbing has separation (4 cm gap). Ledger top is cement
and has no cracks or damage. Ledger is angling down slightly along southern area. There is a
polished red granite urn-topped monument on ledger top in the southern section (east height 4m).
Base is red granite (88 x 88.5 x 19 cm high) no inscription. 1st block (76.5 sq x 30 cm high).
On the S face is 'DICKSON' in relief no wear evident, on the W face bottom corner is
stonemason's inscription. 2nd block (57.5 sq x 65 cm high). Column is round and the S side top
section has broken piece that has been repaired (large chunk came off and repaired). Top of
monument is urn which has had the top of the urn broken off and missing. There is a metal
dowel pin sticking up now. Monument is very level and straight and shows no further damage. | |||
