| Unusual carved white marble monument (58 cm high x 33 cm sq) mounted on grey granite base (38.5 cm sq x 9 cm high). On top of base is flat marble stone (38 cm sq x 2 cm thick). On top is flat marble block (33 cm sq x 16 cm high). On the western face of block is inscription that has been incised and filled with lead: 'HE CARRIES THE LAMB IN HIS BOSOM'. All letters are intact but because of black mold growth difficult to see inscription. On top of block is carved piece of white marble that resembles rocks with a cross on top with inter-twining ivy leaves. At base of cross is scroll that folds down the western side of block. On the scroll is inscription letters incised and filled with lead. The only words intact are 'LOCKHART DIED SEPT 5 19- AGED 4 WEEKS'. All letters are quite badly worn and piece is covered with black mold. The scroll near the 'M' in VERNA M has a 3-4 cm crack. No further damage visible. | |||
