| Description and Condition: | |||
| Large double-sized ground ledger (306 cm length x 245 cm length) raised
25-32 cm off ground. There are 4 corner posts of granite (20 x 18.5 x 50 cm high). The
curbing (16 cm border) is damaged (separated) at NE corner and also sunken. The eastern
curbing has a step and block. On the blocks inscription 'JOSEPH LOVETT' incised faded
but still readable. Ledger top is filled with soil and set at southern and northern ends
are 2 polished red granite ledger stones mounted on granite bases. Southern most stones
grey granite base is 203 x 80 cm. Placed on top is polished red granite (183 L x 61 x 30
cm high) stone. Inscribed vertically at SE corner top is 'G Rudge' the stonemason. On
upper face inscribed facing S is inscription 'JOSEPH LOVETT'. This ledger stone is
angling slightly toward the N. 2nd ledger stone is opposite on N side and is identical to 1st stone except inscription is 'CATHERINE LOVETT'. No further damage evident. | |||
