| Gray granite cross mounted on a grey granite rough rock
slab. Gray granite rock (approx 80 x 50cm and 39 cm high) is rough and covered with
black mold. On eastern side of rock is a white marble plaque (39 x 27cm) that is fitted
into rock. Plaque has inscription that is incised, lettering is deep and a little worn.
The plaque is covered with black mold which makes reading inscription difficult. On top
of rock is a gray granite cross (98.5 high and 15.5 cm thick). There is a small chip
(2 x 2 cm) near the top NE part of cross. there are no breaks or large chunks missing.
Cross appears very stable and level. Rock - Symbol of the Lord based on I Cor 10:4 "Let us make joyful noise to the rock of our salvation" Also Rev Toplady's Hymn Rock of ages. | |||
