Quite often information on the same person was found in more than one of above sources and was added to the database to help complete the record. Unfortunately, dates and spellings from one source to another were seldom in agreement. There being no one definitive source, the information presented here is basically as found unless the discrepancies were obvious and could be easily resolved. Thus, you will often find coincidental or widely conflicting death and burial dates, and discrepancies between the information from contemporary newspaper accounts, burial registers and even from that chiseled in stone on grave markers. When the difference could not be resolved, the fact is usually reflected in the “Notes”.
